Organisation
The standardisation activities in the Petroleum sector are managed by an executive committee, Sector Board Petroleum Industry, Low Carbon, and Offshore Energy, with wide industry participation. The formal administration is handled by Standards Norway, and the daily management is performed by an appointed Project Manager.
The standardisation work is performed by discipline experts, organised in and under discipline Expert Groups. Individuals representing Norway in international standardisation work shall coordinate their work with the established Expert group. Ad hoc project teams, for issuing new and for revision of existing NORSOK standards, shall report to the Expert group.
Standards Norway supports the work with standardisation knowledge, Standards Norway key personnel.
